"HostGator 9854 Directories Performance Risk to the Server" Phishing Scam
Cybercriminals are attempting to steal Hostgator accounts credentials by sending the phishing email message below to the owners of Hostgator accounts. The phishing or fake email message tries to trick and frighten the recipients to clicking on the link in it by claiming the recipients' Hostgator accounts contain more than 9854 directories and may pose a potential performance risk to the server. But, recipients of the phishing email message who click the link will be taken to a fake Hostgator website created by cyber criminals and ask to sign-in. And, any attempts to sign into the phishing website will result in the recipients' Hostgator account credentials being sent to the cyber criminals who will use the stolen information to gain access to their accounts and use them fraudulently.
