"Your Ticket Confirmation that is Worth over 200,00 GBP" Lottery Scam

Recipients of email messages like the one below, which claim that they are the only 5 persons to receive a ticket worth over 200,000 GBP, should delete them. They should also not follow the instructions in them. This is because the email messages are fakes being sent by online scammers who are attempting to trick their potential victims into sending them personal information or money. But, remember, legitimate lottery companies will never ask their winners to send money or personal information to receive a lottery prize. Therefore, email messages which ask for personal information or money in order to claim a prize should be treated as a scam.
