"Cancelled - Contact Western Union" Scam
Online users who have received emails like the one below, which claim that they should contact the Western Union because some form of money transfer was canceled, are asked to delete the same emails. This is because the emails are fakes and are being sent by online scammers. The scammers are attempting to trick their potential victims into sending money by claiming they need to do so in order to have thousands of US dollars deposited to their accounts.
Online users should always contact the Western Union using the contact information on their website, instead of responding to an expected email. The Western Union website is located at http://www.westernunion.com/.
