"Google Email Account is in Danger" Phishing Scams
Google or Gmail users who have received email security alerts like the one below, which claim their accounts are in danger, should delete them because they are phishing scams. The fake Google security alerts are being sent by cyber criminals to trick their potential victims into clicking on the links in them, which go to fake or phishing websites disguised as Google's Gmail website. The phishing websites steal Google account credentials and send them to the cyber criminals behind the scams. Once the cyber criminals receive the stolen credentials, they will gain access, hijack and use the accounts the credentials belong fraudulently.
Therefore, Google users who have already been tricked by the phishing scams are asked to change their passwords immediately. For those who are not able to sign into their accounts, they should click here for help regaining access to their accounts.
