"Your Microsoft Email Account Will Expire In 24 Hours" Phishing Scam
Microsoft users who have received emails claiming that their accounts will expire are asked to delete them because they are phishing scams. The phishing emails are being sent by cyber criminals to trick Microsoft account users into clicking on a link in them, which goes to a phishing website that steals online account user names and passwords. Therefore, Microsoft users who have already been tricked by the phishing scam are asked to change their account password immediately, before their accounts are hijacked and used fraudulently.
