"Office 365 Account De-activation Update" Malicious Emails

Microsoft Office 365 users who have received email messages like the one below, which claim that their accounts will be or have been deactivated are asked to delete the messages. And, they should never attempt to open the attachment because it is malicious and will infect their computers with a virus, spyware, ransomware, or some other malware. The email messages may also contain links that go to phishing websites that steal online account credentials.

Therefore, Microsoft Office 365 who have received emails claiming that something has happened to their accounts or they need to do something to their accounts, are advised to go directly to https://login.microsoftonline.com/ and sign into their accounts from there. They will be notified of changes or updates if there are any.
