"DirecTV Thank You For Being A Valued Customer" Scam
DIRECTV customers, the email message below, with the subject "Thank You For Being A Valued DirecTV Customer" is a scam. Therefore, you are asked to delete it if you have received it. The fake message is being sent by online scammers who are attempting to trick DIRECTV customers into contacting them. Once contacted, the scammers will attempt to trick the DIRECTV customers into disclosing their personal and financial information.
And, remember that legitimate companies like DirecTV will never ask their customers to send personal information, account information, financial information via an email message.
DIRECTV customers who have already been tricked by the scam are asked to contact DIRECTV for help and contact their banks if they have disclosed their credit card information. Also, those DIRECTV customers should be careful going forward because online scammers will be contacting them and will attempt to scam them.
