"Someone Tried To Sign into From another Location" Phishing Scams
Online users who have received email messages like the one below, which claim that some unusual sign-in attempts have been detected on their accounts, are asked not to click on the link in the same messages. This is because the email messages are phishing scams being sent by cybercriminals to trick the potential victims into clicking on the link in them, which goes to a phishing website that steals email account usernames and passwords.
Online users should never click on a link to sign into their accounts. They should always go directly to their email accounts' website and sign-in from there. If there is something that they need to do, they will be notified after signing in it.

Remember, the link in the fake message goes to a phishing website that will ask visitors to sign-in with their email account credentials. If the visitors attempt to sign-in, their email account usernames and passwords will be sent to the cyber crimials behind the scam. Once the cyber criminals receive the stolen credentials they will use it to gain access to the visitors' accounts and use them fraudulently.
Online users who have already been tricked by the scam are asked to change their email account password immediately before their accounts are hijacked and used fraudulently.
