"Multiple Request to Shutdown Your University of Manitoba Account" Phishing Scam

University Of Manitoba students or staff members who have received email messages like the one below, which claim that a request to shut down their accounts will be processed within 24 hours, are asked not to follow the instructions in the same emails. They are advised to delete the messages. This is because the emails are phishing scams being sent by cybercriminals to trick their potential victims into clicking on the link in them, which goes to a fake University Of Manitoba website that steals email account credentials.
