Bush/Wildfire in the Tomago, Williamtown and Raymond Terrace area, New South Wales, Australia
Multiple sources are reporting that a 69-acre wildfire is burning in the Tomago, Williamtown and Raymond Terrace area, New South Wales, Australia. Residents in these areas as well on Masonite Rd, Cabbage Tree Rd, and Barrie Cl have been warned to shelter in place as evacuations are no longer possible. Firefighters are on scene and are attempting to control the fire. Flames are now heading north towards Richardson Rd. Newcastle Airport (NTL) has been temporarily closed as a safety precaution. There were no immediate reports of injuries. Winds in the area are blowing north at three miles per hour and relative humidity is at 45 percent.
