The "Amazon Spin the Lucky Wheel" Scam at xxexi

The "Spin the Lucky Wheel" contest located at "xxexi.com," which claims that members get one free spin for a chance to win exclusive prizes at Amazon, is a Facebook Like-Farming or Like-Harvesting scam. The scam gathers together potential victims by tricking them into sharing or liking the scam, by claiming potential victims need to do so in order to claim their prizes. But, sharing the scam will only help to spread it to other Facebook and Whatsapp users.

The following message is used as bait to trick potential victims into visiting the fraudulent website: www.xxexi.com:

“Spin the lucky Wheel - xxxv.xxexi.com ”

Once the potential victims are taken to the fraudulent website, they will be shown the following message:

Only this Monday we give our members 1 free spin for a chance to win exclusive prizes!

Spin The Lucky Wheel!

Clicking the “OK” will display the following message:

Spin The Lucky Wheel!
Only this Monday we give our members 1 free spin for a chance to win exclusive prizes!

Once potential victims play the game or spin the wheel, the following message or something similar will be displayed:

You have won Samsung Galaxy Note 8 (Midnight Black, 6GB RAM, 256GB Internal storage).

We've only 17 gifts left for this week. Follow the instructions below in order to claim your gift. Tell 5 Groups or 15 Friends on WhatsApp about the "Big Billion Days"!

The website will then ask potential victims to like and share the scam. But, sharing the scam will only help to spread it to other Facebook users. Facebook users who have already shared the scam, should unshare it.
