The "Bank of America Software Upgrade" Phishing Scam

The "Bank of America Software Upgrade" below is a phishing scam being sent by cybercriminals to trick recipients into clicking on the link in it. The link goes to a fake Bank of America website that attempts to trick visitors into signing in. But, any attempts to sign-in will result in the visitors' Bank of America credentials or username and password being sent to the cybercriminals.

Once the cybercriminals have gotten to stolen credentials, they will use it to hijack their victims' accounts and use the same accounts fraudulently and maliciously.
