The "Someone is Trying To Hack Your Account" Phishing Scam
Google or Gmail users who have received the "Someone is trying to hack your account" email below are asked not to follow the instructions in it. This is because the email is a phishing scam being sent by cybercriminals. The links in the email go to a fake Google or Gmail website where visitors will be asked to sign-in. But, any attempt to sign-in will result in the visitors' Google account credentials being sent to the cybercriminals behind the scams. Once the cybercriminals have gotten their potential victims' Google credentials, they will attempt to gain access to their accounts and use them maliciously.
