The "SARS eFiling EMP Statement of Account for Taxpayer" Scam
Cybercriminals are attempting to steal taxpayers' SARS account credentials by sending them the fake the SARS email message below. The links in the fake email go to a fake and phishing SARS website that will instruct visitors to sign-in. But, any attempts to sign-in, will result in the visitors SARS' account credentials being sent to the cybercriminals.
Once the cybercriminals have gotten the stolen credentials, they will use it to gain access to their potential victims' accounts and use them fraudulently. This is why it is important to always go directly to http://www.sarsefiling.co.za/ to access your account instead of clicking on a link.
