The "Linkedln Security Unusual Sign-in Attempt" Phishing Scam
LinkedIn users, be aware of fake "Unusual Sign-in Attempt" emails like the one below. The fake emails are being sent by cybercriminals to trick their potential victims into clicking on the link in them which goes to a fake and phishing LinkedIn website. If the visitors to the phishing website attempts to sign-in, their LinkedIn account usernames and passwords will be sent to the cybercriminals.
The cybercriminals will use the stolen credentials to gain access to their victims' accounts, hijack and use them fraudulently.

This is why LinkedIn users should always go directly to www.linkedin.com and sign into their accounts from there. After signing in, they will be notified of important changes and activities.
LinkedIn users who have already been tricked are asked to change their passwords. And, if they are unable to gain access to their accounts, they may use the "Forgot Password" link at the top-right of the homepage to regain access.
