Gmail Broken Messages Phishing Scams Sent by Cybercriminals
Gmail users who have received emails like the one below, which claims they have broken messages that have been recovered, ask not to click the link in them. This is because fake emails are phishing scams. The link in the phishing scam goes to a fake Gmail website where visitors will be asked to sign-in. But, any attempt to sign-in will result in the visitors' Gmail account credentials being sent to the cybercriminals behind the scam.

Once the cybercriminals have gotten the stolen credentials, they will use it to gain unauthorized access to their potential victims' accounts, hijack and use the accounts maliciously. Therefore, Gmail users who have been tricked or who think they may have been tricked by the scam, are asked to change their Gmail or Google password immediately.
