Instagram New Policy or Rule Regarding Permission to Share Photo Hoax
There is an old Instagram privacy policy hoax that started in 2012 and is making its rounds again in August 2019. The hoax claims the photo-sharing social media website has a new rule that states every photo their users post will become public and can be used against them in court. The hoax then claims Instagram users need to copy and paste it and share it in order to prevent Instagram from making their photos and other information public. To make the hoax more convincing, the pranksters claim that Channel 13 News has a story about the change in Instagram's privacy policy.
If you have received the hoax (see below), please delete it instead of following the instructions in it. Some people may consider this hoax a scam, but it doesn't ask for money or information. It is more of a prank created by pranksters.
