Phishing "ALTA Settlement Statement" Emails That Steal Credentials

There are fake "ALTA Settlement Statement" emails like the one below with a link to a phishing website that steals account credentials. The fake emails are being sent by cybercriminals who are attempting to trick their potential victims into clicking on the link in the fake emails disguised as an attachment. The link goes to a phishing website that will ask visitors to sign-in. But, any attempt to sign-in will result in the visitors' account credentials being sent to the cybercriminals behind the scam.

If you have already clicked the link in the fake email and attempted to sign into the phishing website you were taken to, please change your account passwords before it is hijacked and used fraudulently.

If you have received similar "ALTA Settlement Statement" emails that ask you to click on a link, which goes to website that asks you sign-in with your email or social media account, please do not. The statement should be attached and you should be abe to open and view it without signing in.
