NYS DMV Text Scam - Update Contact Information

If you have received DMV scam text messages like the one below asking for personal driver's license information, please do not follow the instructions in them. The fake text messages did not come from NYS DMV. They are being sent by scammers who are attempting to trick recipients into clicking the link in them. The link goes to a phishing website that asks visitors to fill out personal information. If the requested information is submitted, it will be sent to the scammers, who will either use it to scam potential victims or sell it to other scammers.
