AT&T iPad Scam Robocalls and Surveys

AT&T customers are being targeted by scammers using robocalls and fake surveys. Potential victims are asked to participate in a survey by scammers who claim they will receive $40 credit in their accounts after completing it. The scammers then steal personal information from their potential victims by cleverly asking them to verify their zip code and the last four digits of their social security number. The scammers steal more personal information by asking basic questions related to their potential victims AT&T account to verify their account’s activity. With the information collected, the scammers purchase a mobile phone and a sim card in their victims' names.
