Cybercriminals are using a malicious website called coronavirusapp .site to trick visitors in downloading a fake Coronavirus tracker app that contains ransomware. If the fake and malicious app is installed, it will lock the mobile user's mobile device and demand a ransom. If the ransom is not paid, the message displayed by the app claims the mobile user's photos, messages, and other important information will be deleted.
