Costco Text Scams: Fake Stimulus Package and Membership Cancellation

There are currently Costco text scams being sent by scammers to potential victims. The text scams threaten to cancel the recipients' membership unless the user clicks on the link for a survey, or are offering 'stimulus check' deals from the big-box store. But, please know that these are fraudulent texts attempting to obtain personal information, and recipients should not click on the link as these are in no way affiliated with Costco. Costco is NOT texting or using social media platforms to reach the public or its customers to cancel membership, provide a 'stimulus check,' 'freebies,' or a 'stimulus package.'
