AIB Scam Text Messages- Unauthorized or Suspicious Direct Debit Transaction
If you receive AIB scam text messages with a link in them, like the ones below, please do not follow the instructions in them. The AIB scam texts are being sent by online scammers who are attempting to trick their potential victims into clicking the link in them. If the links are clicked, potential victims will be taken to a fake or phishing AIB website that steals account credentials, personal and financial information. You may also be asked to input codes from your Card Reader or divulge a One Time Passcode (OTP).

A direct debit of 3211.54 EUR was sent to 'SK Hynix' on September 27th. Please pay a visit to contacted-aib .com
A unauthorized transaction was performed using your AIB Visa Card. You can Authorize or Cancel this request at: hxxps://aibassistance-online .com
Remember:
- NEVER disclose your Registration Number or Personal Access Code (PAC) or card information after clicking a link on a text.
- NEVER generate codes from your AIB Card Reader when they are requested by a text message.
- NEVER divulge your One Time Passcode (OTP) for Card transactions.
- NEVER post your card to an address which is provided to you in a text message.
