61111 Paym Scam Text Messages
Scammers are sending out fake text messages like the one below to potential victims, impersonating Paym and asking customers to follow a link to receive money. This is not legitimate; a genuine Paym message won’t ask you to register to collect funds already sent. If you think you may have fallen for an online scam, you should contact your bank using the phone number on the back of your debit card, or printed on a bank statement.
Paym only sends the standard message shown below. Paym will NEVER ask you to send any personal information via text message and neither will your bank. Paym will also NEVER send any messages that contain a direct link to a website.
Opting out
If you want to opt out from receiving text messages from Paym, simply register for the service with your bank or building society, or send a text to 61111 with the word ‘STOP’. Normal costs apply for sending this message – check with your mobile provider for more information.
