Primark Facebook Scam - Fake Promotions or Giveaways

Primark has issued a scam alert to shoppers who are being targeted by fake Facebook pages and accounts posing as the retail giant. The clothing retailer is warning that customers have been targeted by a Facebook scam(see below) where fake accounts and pages are being used by scammers to con potential victims out of their information while posing as the chain, offering vouchers and giveaways.

In a message on its Facebook account, Primark said: "We have been made aware of some social media posts from fake accounts offering Primark Competitions, Giveaways, Vouchers/Goodie Bags."

"We can confirm we have no connection to these accounts and are working hard to have them removed. For peace of mind, our official Primark accounts have a blue verified tick next to them and we would never ask for your personal information in this way."
