The fake Canada Post email below is a scam. Therefore, recipients are asked not to click the link in it. The Canada Post scam is being sent by online scammers who are attempting to trick their potential victims into visiting a phishing website. The phishing website steals account persona and financial information.

The link in the scam email goes a phishing or fake Canada Post website. On the fake website, visitors will be asked to submit personal and financial information in order to receive their so-called package. But, if the information is submitted, the scammers will use the information frauduent.

If you have been tricked by the scam and have submitted financial information, please contact your bank for help.

Canada Post recommends that customers delete any suspicious emails or texts containing a link or file and contact the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre at 1-888-495-8501. Customers may also contact Canada Post's customer service department at 1-800-267-1177 if they suspect they’ve received a suspicious email or text relating to Canada Post.
