Also, scammers are making calls from 971 area code telephone numbers using autodialers or robocalls and letting the phone ring once. The scammers hope the recipients will see the miss call and ring back the 971 number that called them. But, this is a fake phone call used to trick the recipients into calling back international phone numbers that are premium pay-per-minute services that the recipients will be charged for.
