UARMProtection: Our Verdict

When scouting for good protection and tactical gear, it is not as simple as just adding stars on Amazon. What is a divine blessing for one operator is an annoying hindrance to the other. This is why when checking out manufacturers and shops like UARMProtection we need to look at what they sell and who they can accommodate.

The main benefit of UARM in this regard is that they can be considered a versatile option because they produce all of their stuff on their own. You can get decked out head to toe with nothing but UARM gear.

This selection includes:

Some of the selection is quite regular and something you can find in most places. Because competition in carriers and helmets has been so steep you really need to try Wish.com to get a raw deal.

But, there are some special items that have really caught our eye and that are not something you will find everywhere. Primarily, there is a wide selection of armored clothing, as well as covert ballistic gear that is focused on public, civilian, and clandestine operations and is hard to find with this level of finish and quality without ordering it custom made.

UARMProtection Selection

Primarily there are the plates. UARM offers a solid range of SAPI plates in the shooter’s cut, with the noticeable lack of swimmer’s cut plates. Looking at their carriers, these aren’t really suited for these plates as well as they are more focused on battlefield-type layouts than any domestic affair.

There is the somewhat regular SA3U, which is a UHMWPE Level III plate that is light and adaptable. Further, there is the SA3S, the silicon-carbide variant for protection against high-velocity and armor penetration rounds.

Last, but not least, of the plates is the SA3B, which is the Boron-Carbide model. These plates are somewhat expensive but offer a perfect balance of low weight and high protection that will interest every professional operator.

The plate carriers and vests are divided into covert and overt carriers, which makes it easy to find your pick. But, the most noticeable item is the FAS Full Armor System, which is a set of modules that can be used to drastically increase coverage.

These cover everything from your neck to your thigh arteries and groin, which can prevent some of the nasty injuries when policing or keeping the peace, especially in closed quarters.

Finally, there is the civilian lineup, which is exceptional. Items like the CAS Covert Armored Singlet are the type of armor everyone should have, from the local bodega owner to a professional security operative that wants to stay incognito.

The Good

UARMProtection website offers a wide selection of goods, and everything can be in one place. This allows you to make your setup directly on the website. For both newcomers and those who want to make a large order, this may be a perfect solution.

Additionally, UARM offers fairly competitive pricing, as well as regular discounts for active military and veterans. As many of these discounts are on a percentage of the order and not a flat coupon, you can save a pretty penny if you need a lot of stuff.

Finally, there is solid customer support both via social media and via email which will usually answer all questions you have on the same day, which is rare. They don’t have a phone listed on their website but are willing to call if you ask over email.

The Bad

UARM products are made in Ukraine. This is not an issue when it comes to quality, but is when it comes to things being in stock. You will often find that something ran out just a day after you first looked with the ETAs frequently being over 3 weeks.

If you need something quickly, this might be a deal-breaker, or you will need to act quickly.
