Census Scam Text Being Sent by Scammers

Scammers are sending out fake census text messages like the one below from different telephone numbers, claiming the recipients have not completed their 2021 census form and will be fined £1000. The fake text contains a link to census-forms.com and other fake and phishing websites that steals personal and financial information.

The Census Scam Text

"CENSUS: There is missing information from your application. Failure to update your details may result in a £1000 penalty. Visit : hxxp://census.uk-myinfo.co.uk"

The website, census-forms.com, is a fake and scam, and if you have received text messages with a link to it, just ignore and delete them. The legitimate census website is located at https://census.gov.uk/.
