The fake Verizon "Thank You For Your Payment" text below, with a link to the malicious website - coveringwforest.com, is a scam. The fake text, which claims there is special a rebate from Verizon of $200, is being sent by scammers or cybercriminals who are attempting to trick their potential victims into clicking the link in it, which goes to a phishing or malicious website.

The malicious website that the link in the text goes to will attempt to trick visitors into downloading malware, or steal their personal/financial information. Therefore, recipients of the text scam are asked not to click the link or follow the instructions in it.
