McAfee Email Scam Renewal - Total Protection Automatic Subscription
Scammers are sending thousands of Mcafee email scams to potential victims. The Mcafee scam emails claim that subscriptions need renewing or that renewal payment methods have failed, and ask people to re-enter them. The scams are very convincing emails, using McAfee's company logo and similar text to their official mailing emails. They are very repetitive, often with false but dire warnings of your computer not being protected or vulnerable to any number of virus and hacker threats. In reality, these emails are the threats.

Scammers and hackers are targeting Mcafee's brand, as it is a protection package often pre-installed on many new PCs and laptops, and many people leave it on by default.
Do not enter your bank or card details under any circumstances, as thousands of people worldwide have already lost millions collectively, and your bank account or credit cards could be next.
It is much safer to use the application on your PC/laptop (if you use McAfee) to check your current subscription status. That will tell you how many days you have left of your annual usage, and you can link from the installed app to a genuine and secure payment page.
Some emails are also offering technical support to connect to your computer to supposedly 'help' you install new versions of McAfee.
Do not answer those connection requests or respond to phone calls as these hackers can take control of your computer and steal your data. Or they can encrypt it, and will then demand money for unlocking it, with no guarantee that they will.
