Is Facebook Login Alerts Messenger a Scam and Fake?

I received an odd Facebook login alert on messenger regarding unrecognized devices, not sure what to make of it. Here is the message: "Messenger alerts about unrecognized logins into your Facebook account are disabled. You will continue receiving login warnings via system notifications like this one."

Things to note:

I logged in, looked at my active sessions/devices/logins and logouts and everything looks good. The setting to receive alerts about unrecognized devices was also ON and not disabled as the alert says. I changed my password just to make myself feel better.

My only ideas are that it was a mistake or maybe they’re phasing our “unrecognized device” login alerts and they’re just doing “login warnings.” Or maybe they’re saying that I will no longer be alerted to logins for actual Facebook vs. messenger, which I actually use.

Oddly though, no one else I know with a fb has received this message.

Has anyone here received it?
