AIB Scam Text Linked to helpaib.com - Card Placed On Hold

The AIB scam text message below, with a link to helpaib.com, which claims the recipients' card has been placed on hold, is being sent by cybercriminals. The aim of the cybercriminals is to trick their potential victims into clicking the link in the fake text message, which goes to a fake and phishing AIB website that steals account credentials, personal and financial information.

AIB: Due to unusual activity, your card has been placed on hold. Please visit helpaib.com and follow the instructions there.

So far, potential victims have received the AIB scam text message from the following telephone numbers:

If you have received a AIB scam text, please do not click the link it, just ignore it. Post it in a comment below along with the telephone number it came from. This will inform others.

If you were tricked by the scam text and submitted your financial information to the phishing website you were taken to after clicking the link, please contact your bank for help before your information is used fraudulenlty.
