Wise Account Scam Text Message - New Payment Deducted

Wise scam text messages like the one below are being sent by scammers to potential victims. The fake text messages claim a payment will be deducted from the recipients' accounts and give the option to view or cancel the payment by clicking a link in it. But, the link goes to a fake and phishing Wise website created by the scammers to steal account credentials, personal, and financial information. Any information submitted on the phishing website will be used fraudulently by the scammers.

If you have receive the same Wise Account scam text or something similar, please do not click the link in it. Wise always addresses you by the first name you entered on their website. And, if they ask you to follow a link in an email, you’ll always be directed to a website which starts with https://wise.com. But, you shoulod double check the spelling of their website because scammers will sometimes change one letter so the address looks very similar.
