Windows Defender Email Scam and 833-234-6835
I got the Windows Defender email scam below confirming my payment of $350 for a VPN Pro+ antivirus and asking me to call 833-234-6835 to cancel if I wish not to renew. I checked my bank account, PayPal and Apple Pay and nothing has been taken out. I called the fake Microsoft support telephone number and told the so-called representative that I have an Apple computer. He tried to tell me the firewall/antivirus was installed in the factory. I told him I called Apple and they said it was a scam and he hung up. I could hear a lot of people talking to each other in the background, which I assume is a scammer call center. Please don't fall for this Windows Defender email scam.
