The Computer Locked Up Scam

The scammers will ask potential victims to disclose their account credentials, personal and financial information, which will be used fraudulently. They may also be asked to give the scammers remote access to their computers. But, in doing so, the scammers will silently steal information from the computers they have remote access to.

If you were tricked by the Microsoft Windows Defender Security Center "Computer Locked" scam, please change your passwords and check for and report any fraudulent financial transactions to your bank.
