Is Geckocustom a Scam Online Store? Review of Gecko Custom
Consumers filed a high number of complaints with the BBB® Serving Metro New York about Gecko Custom, an online retailer, after they purchased custom gifts such as coffee mugs, tee shirts, or other items during the prior holiday season. "A dramatic spike in complaints to BBB about a single business in a short period of time is a signal that something is going wrong,” says Claire Rosenzweig, President and CEO of the Metro NY BBB. “When this occurs, we alert shoppers and urge them to think carefully before buying."

Generally, complainants tell BBB that the customizable merchandise they order from Gecko Custom does not arrive. Further, many say they had trouble getting in touch with the company, as there is no phone number listed on its website. BBB has confirmed that the Manhattan address the company advertises is that of a virtual office.
Metro NY BBB has processed and closed 55 complaints as of January 19, 2023, most of which were submitted in December 2022 and January 2023. A significant number of additional pending consumer allegations have been received by BBB, which are presently under review through BBB’s standard dispute resolution process.
On top of the complaints, Gecko Custom has been the subject of nine reports to BBB’s Scam Tracker program, and three consumers have left one-star reviews of the company on its BBB Business Profile. Currently, Gecko Custom has an F rating with the Metro New York BBB.
