Orchard Bank Credit Card Approval Phishing Scam

The "Orchard Bank Credit Card Approval" scam is an e-mail that scammers are using to trick persons into giving out their Orchard banking information. The e-mail message contains two links; the first is a link to report the same message as spam, and the second, to redirect you to a phishing website.

These are things to look out for:

E-mail Subject: You are approved for a credit card from Orchard Bank‏

Links in the body of e-mail:

The first link indicates that you can click on it to report the same e-mail as spam, will redirect you to www.goodtell.net. It seems that this website collects e-mail addresses for possible future spamming from the same or other scammers.

The second link redirects to www.card-counter.net/, which is a fraud and phishing website. The same website was blocked by my Kerio Web Filter.

Please avoid clicking on any of the links in the e-mail message and delete immediately if this message ends up in your inbox.
