Warning! Fake and Malicious Java Upgrade and Update Websites

There are fake and malicious Java websites that will infect your computer with a virus, spyware or Trojan horse. So, if you are asked to download, upgrade, or install Java on your computer while browsing the internet from any other websites except www.java.com, please do not. There are malicious websites or advertisements that will attempt to trick you into downloading and installing malicious programs disguised as Java updates or upgrades.

Java is a programming language that allows you to play online games, chat with people around the world, calculate your mortgage interest, and view images in 3D, just to name a few.

If the Java is not installed on your computer, only download it from the following website: http://www.java.com/.

If you have downloaded and installed the latest version of the Java from the above website and you are still being asked to install it, the website that you are on is either malicious or there is a malicious advertisement displaying the fake Java update or upgrade.

If you were tricked into downloading and installing a fake Java update or upgrade, please use the following programs to remove it from your computer:
