HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) Tax Credit Office Refund Phishing Scam

The email message below which appears as if was sent by HMRC, claiming the recipients are entitled to refunds, is a fake. This email message was NOT sent by HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC), and is a phishing scam designed to steal their personal and credit card information. So, do not open the attachment and follow the instructions in it.

Dear Applicant,

After the last annual calculation of your fiscal activity you are eligible to receive a tax refund.

REFUND AMOUNT: 323.56 - GB

We have attached the tax refund form with the TAX REFUND NUMBER ID: 11722509.

Download and complete the tax refund form attached to this message.

After completing the form, please submit the form by clicking the

SUBMIT button on form and allow us 5-9 business days in order to process it.
