The email message below which appears as if was sent by HMRC, claiming the recipients are entitled to refunds, is a fake. This email message was NOT sent by HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC), and is a phishing scam designed to steal their personal and credit card information. So, do not open the attachment and follow the instructions in it.

Download and complete the tax refund form attached to this message.
After completing the form, please submit the form by clicking the
SUBMIT button on form and allow us 5-9 business days in order to process it.

If you enter requested information on the attached form, it will be sent to the cyber-criminals behind this scam, who will hijack your account and use it to steal your money.
HMRC will never send an email message with an attached form requesting personal information, finanancial information and account credentials (username and password).
