"Amazon Password Reset Verification Assistance" Phishing Scams
Amazon customers are asked to be aware of fake "Password Reset" email messages like the one below, which are being sent by cybercriminals. The fake email messages(Password assistance) falsely claim that someone tried to reset their account password and they need to call a telephone number to verify. But, the telephone is a fake operated by cybercriminals who will request account credentials, personal and financial information from the callers.
Once the cybercriminals have received the stolen information they will use it fraudulently.

Amazon customers who called the telephone number and were tricked into disclosing their information should change their Amazon passwords immediately, check their accounts for discrepancies, and report any found to Amazon. They should also let their banks know that they tricked by a phishing email created cybercriminals that asked them to call a fake telephone number and disclose their personal information.
