There is no "Xmas MasterCard Lottery" - Do Not Be Fooled by Scammers
There is no "Xmas MasterCard" lottery or promotion that is awarding people thousands or millions of dollars. So, recipients of emails like the one, which claim that they are winners of thousands or millions of dollars in the "Xmas MasterCard" lottery should delete them. The fake emails are being sent by lottery scammers. The lottery scammers will ask the recipients to send money in order to collect their so-called lottery prize, which they will claim is for delivery fee, taxes or some other fees. But, once the recipients or potential victims send their hard-earned money, the lottery scammers will disappear like a thief in the night.
Remember, once potential victims are asked to send their personal or financial information to someone via an email message or ask to send money in order to receive your so-called lottery prize, these are the first signs that someone is attempting to scam them. Legitimate lottery companies or other companies will never ask their winners, users or customers to send them money in order to collect lottery prizes or to send personal or financial information.
