Hastopnet Scam On iPhone Web Browser Hijacker
Hastopnet at www.hastopnet.com is an ad-spamming and browser redirect application for iPhone and other Apple devices that is known for taking over Safari and other web browsers and triggering unwanted page redirects to malicious virus, malware or Potentially Unwanted Applications (PUAs) websites that ask visitors download freeware bundle.
Hastopnet.com display popup messages that claim that visitors' devices are infected with viruses and encourages them to remove those viruses with some PUA that it offers to download and install. It may also claims that by installing some unwanted applications, visitors will be able to continue watching some video.
