The fake FedEx email message below: "Shipping Confirmation - Package for you", which claims that some information is missing to complete your delivery is malicious. The email message has a link that will take you to fake malicious FedEx website, with the intention of tricking you into downloading a malicious computer program called a Trojan horse.

This email message was not sent by FedEx and the link in it will take you to the following fake FedEx website:

This fake website will ask you to download the FedEx Verification Manager. But, this FedEx Verification Manager is malicious computer program called a Trojan horse. The name of the malicious file is FVM_manager.exe.

A Trojan horse can be used to spy on you, steal your personal/financial information, or allow cybercriminals to take control of your computer remotely. With remote access to your computer, these criminals can use your computer to commit cybercrimes, which will be traced back to you.
