Fake Sage 50 Payroll Email with Virus Attached July 16, 2013

Webroot Security has discovered a fake Sage 50 payroll email with a malicious program called a Trojan horse attached. The email message was designed to trick recipients into believing that they have received their pay slips generated by the Sage 50 Payroll software. The email claims the pay slip attached is a PDF (Adobe Acrobat) document.

But, the attachment is actually a malicious computer program called a Trojan horse, which will infect your computer if you open it.

If you have already attempted to open the malicious attachment, please do a full scan of your computer with the antivirus software installed on it. Also, you may download and install the trial version of Webroot Secure on your computer and use it to do a full scan of your computer.
