The hoax below: "Please ensure that you and your family and all your neighbors bath with hot water and salt before daybreak today because of Ebola virus," alleged started by a female Nigerian student, is spreading on social networking websites, cellphone networks via text messages, and the rest of the internet like wildfire.
The hoax has caused the death of two people and the hospitalization of more than 20 already. The deaths and hospitalizations were due hypertension or high blood pressure. People suffering from hypertension or high blood pressure consumed large amounts of salt water, which raised their blood pressure dangerously high.

Currently, there is no vaccine or cure for the Ebola virus, and Ebola does not spread through the air. It spreads by direct contact (through broken skin or mucous membranes) with the blood, secretions, organs or other bodily fluids of infected people, and indirect contact with environments contaminated with such fluids.
