Tesco Refused to Serve a Soldier Because It Would Offend Muslim Customers

The post below: "This Tesco on Oak Street, London refused to server a soldier because he was in uniform and they were afraid it would offend Muslim customers," is a hoax. The hoax is spreading like wildfire on social networking websites and has caught the attention of Tesco, a British multinational grocery and general merchandise retailer headquartered in Cheshunt, Hertfordshire, England, United Kingdom. The company said they are aware of the hoax and is working with social media websites to have it removed.

The Tesco Hoax

Tesco Metro 105-119 Stroud Green Road, Finsbury Park, London

This Tesco on Oak Street, London refused to server a soldier because he was in uniform and they were afraid it would offend Muslim customers

Share if you think this is an outrage.

The Tesco in the hoax above is actually located at 105-119 Stroud Green Road, Finsbury Park, London, and not on Oak Street in London as stated in the hoax above. But, there is no Tesco on Oak Street in London.

Did the same thing happen but at that different address? Or did it not happen at all? I would like to think the latter but your article doesn't make this clear.

I have just sent this article to a friend who sent me the original hoax. I had seen it before but didn't believe Tesco would allow such a thing so I checked it out.

It is obvious that this is sent out by those to encourage hate towards Muslims.

Sadly, there are people who believe it and those that would like to believe that it was sent by Muslims to stir up hate. These types of posts are feeding the fears of weak and stupid people who can't think for themselves.

Whenever we keep reposting stuff that is not true, you get innocent people in trouble and if it's someone you know who sent it and you question them about it, they say a friend sent it.

Well, it still doesn't make the story right. I managed to track the story back to the first person who sent it and it was shared over 3000 times. So, I sent the guy this page.

I question everything, it is unfortunate that most of the world is very gullible...

Aren't there enough problems in this world without trying to increase them? I'm sorry for believing it when I first saw it. Thanks for putting me straight!
