If the fake attached document is open, it will take the recipients to a fake web page that will ask them to click on a link to view Tesco Bank recent interest rate changes. If the link is clicked, it will take the potential victims to a fake Tesco Bank website, which will ask them for their username, password, security code, personal and financial information.
If the requested information is entered, it will be sent to the cybercriminals behind the scam. Once they have the information, they will use it to hijack the victims' accounts, steal their money and use the accounts for fraudulent purposes.
