"Your Version of Mailbox is Currently Being Discontinued" Phishing Scams

Online users, be aware of phishing email messages like the one below, which claim a new version of your mailbox is currently being discontinued, and you need to upgrade to the newest version. The fake email messages are being used by cyber-criminals to trick their potential victims into clicking on the link within them, which go to a fake or phishing website. Once on the phishing website, potential victims will be asked to sign-in with their email accounts’ username and password. But, once the potential victims attempt to sign into the fake website, their email accounts’ username and password will be sent to the cyber-criminals behind the scam, who will use the stolen credentials to gain access to the potential victims’ email accounts, and use the same accounts fraudulently.
